In order to qualify for this type of housing, applicants must be current consumers of Integral Care with a chronic mental illness, demonstrate sufficient income to pay monthly rent and be able to live independently as well as get along with others. All residents must also pass a criminal background check – exclusions include, but are not limited to, sexual crimes, felony drug use (in particular, distribution), capital crimes (murder, extensive fraud, etc.) and domestic violence.
Case managers and consumers are encouraged to call or e-mail and request placement on the referral list. Placement on the referral list is not a guarantee of housing. Consumers at the top of the list will be screened and assessed for eligibility criteria, desire and ability to live in co-op environment. Consumers will be placed as rooms become available.
