In-home individual support services provide individuals with intellectual developmental disorder, autism or pervasive developmental disorders who live in their home or the home of a family member, the intermittent assistance needed in order to maintain their independence and become more self-sufficient.

Services are community-based and can be provided at the individual’s residence. They include, but are not limited to, assistance with daily living skills such as housekeeping, grocery shopping, and accessing transportation, as well as supports connecting the individual with existing activities in the community. The services provided are intended to be transitional and designed to develop interdependent relationships in the community based on individual choices.

Who is Eligible?

Individual Support Services are available for those with a diagnosis of intellectual developmental disorder, autism, or pervasive developmental disorder or individuals enrolled in Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) and Texas Home Living Waiver (TXHmL) programs.
