IDD services start with an intake appointment, made by calling the 24/7 Crisis Hotline 512-472-HELP (4357). Interviews are conducted at the North Lamar Professional Building, or an alternate convenient location. Psychologists provide a Determination of Mental Retardation (DMR) or diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders for persons seeking services in accordance with state law and DADS. Assessment results lead to referral to other community resources and/or entrance to ATCIC services for eligible persons. Continuity of Services for individuals with intellectual developmental disorder, autism or pervasive developmental disorder who are leaving state operated facilities is also provided.
