C.A.R.E. offers case management services, outpatient substance use treatment services, and mental health services, including both counseling and psychiatric care for people who are living with HIV. In addition, C.A.R.E. has an outreach team that provides community outreach services to people who are at risk for becoming HIV positive, or those who have an HIV diagnosis but are out of care. C.A.R.E.’s outreach team also provides HIV and hepatitis C testing to people on a walk-in basis at our office location, as well as at multiple locations throughout our community, including: Trinity Center, the ARCH, and the Galano Club. Harm reduction materials, including: condoms, lube, needle cleaning kits and safer smoking kits are also available at no cost to the public. 

Who is Eligible?

C.A.R.E. serves adult residents of Travis and surrounding counties who are at risk for contracting HIV, as well as individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families. C.A.R.E. offers specialized mental  health and outpatient substance use services to individuals who are HIV positive. Financial and clinical eligibility will be assessed at intake. Counties served varies depending on the type of services being accessed. C.A.R.E. accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and other types of private insurance. Services are also funded by contracts with state and local governmental entities.
